About Us

Who we are

InfraGard is a public and private sector alliance whose mission is to share information and help protect critical infrastructure.  It is a national program which was initiated in 1996 by the Federal Bureau of  Investigation’s (FBI) Cleveland Field Office with private industry experts. The collaboration was so successful that the program quickly expanded to other Field Offices, leading the FBI to assign national program responsibility for InfraGard to FBI Headquarters in Washington DC and local program responsibility to the FBI’s 56 field offices. In 2003, InfraGard’s private sector members officially incorporated InfraGard National as nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that retains its affiliation and partnership with the FBI.

The New Jersey Chapter of  InfraGard ("InfraGard NJ") is administered locally by an elected board of directors and chapter membership, which is composed of  businesses large and small, educational institutions as well as various agency partners.

Information Exchange

InfraGard NJ plans in person and virtual meetings.  Some Chapter meetings are open, which means that non-members are welcome to attend, and some Chapter meetings are closed, or limited to  secure members only.  Information regarding the open meetings will be provided.  Chapter meetings are oriented toward  education, awareness  and information sharing, and offer presentations by  security  professionals, member and non-member, government and private.   Chapter members actively participate in information sharing leading to support and protection of critical infrastructure
